How many Olympia le Tan clutches should a sane fashion-obsessed woman own? I've come across this question many, many times before but I always face difficulty answering it. I mean every a couple of weeks I see a new design by the fashion designer, who transforms classic book covers into covetable clutches, and because they come with "very limited edition" and "always sold-out" reputation, we want them even more. Today I saw this Dracula clutch on net-a-porter, and I'm thiiiis close to buy it, now how do I justify purchasing yet another cover book clutch? Maybe I can get away with "But they're not the same colors!" or "they're so practical (!)". Clearly I'm not over this clutch, check out the other new design here.

Just Like Isabel Marant...
Spotted this cotton jersey top, shown on the left, at Oasis the other day and I couldn't help but link it to the black and white floral-print top embroidered with a bold red motif designed by Isabel Marant. I prefer the original design by Marant as jersey tops don't usually flatter me. Plus the the embroidered detail is by far more striking on the Marant top. I saw the top at AlOthman boutique a week ago, not sure if it's still there or sold out already.

Azza Fahmy USxYOU
One of my favorite jewelry designer in the Middle East Azza Fahmy has launched a new campaign titled USxYOU very recently to encourage her fans to share photos of their looks, style, and creativity matched with their own Azza Fahmy's jewelry. The photos are then shared on Azza Fahmy's social media networks. Featured here are some of the photos taken during the photo shoot of the campaign. Don't you just love the way her pieces standout in these photos. Each piece has its own powerful symbol in which the design is related to. Have a look at some of the photos tagged USxYOU here.

Oops More Shoes!
As I declutter the files on my laptop, I keep on discovering new photos that I have taken for the purpose of publishing on my blog but never came around to do that. I should have added these photos to a previous post dedicated for shoes that I liked, or ones that I didn't like but caught my attention, during my trip to Dubai last month. Let's start with Giuseppe Zanotti, I actually liked these gold chain sandals, they felt very industrial... or more like Givenchy. I also spotted Zanotti's shoes of the season with its golden wings details, according to the sales guy, you can place an order for the white pair which the brand collaborated with US rapper Kanye West in designing in celebration of the launch of his album .
These Giuseppe Zanotti emerald green lace-up sandals were released in black last season and I bought them from the brand's boutique at 360 Mall, even though I haven't worn them much, they really do make the outfit stand out.
If you’ve ever wanted to feel like a walking statue, then get these Emilio Pucci off-white wedged sandals, carved out in patterns taken from chinese ivory craftsmanship. Yes the details are a work of art but I wouldn't be caught dead wearing them! Plus they cost like KD 1,500!!! Seriously??!!
Now these sandals by Rupert Sanderson are super adorable! I have a weakness for accessories with lips motif.

Bags of Style
I thought it would be refreshing to post about handbags this time instead of shoes and also to probe our common interest. Even though I don't obsess about bags as much as I do with shoes, I enjoy checking out the latest designs and the must-haves. However, the more in demand the bag is by the public eye, the less I seem to be interested in getting it. Let's have a quick look at several bags that I really liked during my last trip to Dubai. Unique design is the common factor to my selection, and I wouldn't hesitate to wear them season after season. Let's start with this oh-so-pretty and perfectly formed pink bow bag covered with floral details by the bows master Alexis Mabille, it makes such a perfect statement for occasions when you want to dress up.
Give your daytime outfits a chic flair with Pierre Hardy's tri-color shoulder bag in tones-down shades of pale yellow, pale orange and grey.
Olympia le Tan clutches.... need I say more?
And another love moment with Pierre Hardy clutch, oh and by the way, I have spotted all of the bags mentioned above at Symphony boutique in Dubai Mal.
I actually like this Stella McCartney shoulder bag. But for some reason I feel like it's something I'd get bored from after a couple of wears.
Tonya Hawkes creates some seriously eye-catching clutches with its black stud detailing around sides. LOVE it.

Flavor of the Day: Sevan Bicacki Rings
I was surfing the net the other day when I came across these outstanding rings designs by a Turkish jeweler Sevan Bıçakçı. I love how he incorporated symbols of his culture into his designs.
Sevan Bıçakçı is a famed Turkish jeweler of Armenian descent. He is one of the few renknown jewelers in Turkey. He has started his journey as a jeweler when he was only 12 years old, and his first personal collection that he created in 2002 was inspired by the historical Grand Bazaar- Sultanahmet area where he spends a considerable part of his daily life.
If you ever plan to visit Dubai anytime soon, make sure to check out his boutique where he displays a wider range of his collections.

Stars in My Hair
So I finally managed to get my Rodarte stars headpiece that where shown last Fall (yay!). The models wore the piece clipped on the sides of a messy up-do. So I was like "how hard would it be to just clip on a headpiece to my head?! Right??!" Wrong! That thing doesn't come with an actual clip-on.... thing. You actually need like a box of bobby pins to wear it. And when it was time for me to try it on, it kept snagging my hair whenever it moved a bit (ouch!!). Nevertheless, I will wear it, even if it means I'd have to clip it on with a zillion bobby pin.

Sandals That Won't Break the Bank
These sandals might look plain-Jane due to the way they're displayed stacked next to each other, but when you look closely, like me you'd probably like a pair or two. Those on the lookout for comfortable breezy summer sandals with budget-friendly price tags, look no further, because Bimba & Lola has quite a fun and colorful selection in-store. I liked the grey sandal shown below, third style from the left. And the one next to it with yellow straps is not bad either!
These styles were spotted at Bimba & Lola boutique at 360 Mall.

Hi! My Name is...
If you happen to look for a very special gift for your beloved fashion-maven friend, may I suggest that you get her Edie Parker's bespoke clutch? I recently received mine, bespoke nude pearlescent flavia clutch with gold confetti text, and it's just so pretty! And I love the fact that it comfortably fits my two mobiles, home/car keys, lipstick, and some cash. I must admit, the concept of trasnforming something commercial into a customized and personal item is very clever indeed. I got sucked in to the idea, especially after seeing the clutch carried by the likes of Anna Dello Russo and Giovanna Battaglia. It gives your accessory some sort of identity I think.
I placed my order through AlOthman boutique's personal shopper. Basically I selected the model, material, and colors from Edie Parker's palate. And received it within 3 or 4 weeks I think. Not bad at all ha?

Gaia Repossi for Zadig & Voltaire jewelry
While I was in Dubai over the weekened, I passed by Zadig & Voltaire's boutique at Dubai Mall. I wanted to see if they have received their latest jewelry collaboration with Hollywood's favorite rock'n'chic designer Pamela Love. Apparently they didn't receive them yet, they're actually expecting them in a couple of weeks. They did however carry a selection of rings and bracelets by another jewelry collaboration: Gaia Repossi, which I think was launched a year ago. The collection entitled Metamorphosis, have the same look and feel of the original designs by the designer which I think it's great! And I loved the fact that the rings don't break the bank either!

Outfit of the Day
I have a weakness for easy-breezy trapeze-shaped summery dresses. They're ideal for days when I don't want to think of what to wear, and especially on days when its over over 50 degrees outside! I found this dress at Cacharel boutique in Arrraya Complex. I liked the fact that it has a ruffle detail at the lower front part of the dress. And on the back, the dress is completely straight with a longer length. I wore it with my TopShop light denim skirt to avoid any unwanted "Marilyn-Monroe's-Seven-Year-Itch" moment (remember her famous scene where she stood over a subway grating??). I wore it with my favorite turquoise stones necklaces, my comfy fuchsia Prada sandals of S/S 2011 I think, and my Olympia le Tan clutch. I forgot to take a photo of my pony-tail, but I had it tied in a checkered silk scarf. It looked very retro paired with my 50's-inspired printed dress.

Mise en Dior Necklace
You're always the belle of the ball when you pick the most gorgeous pieces to accessories your gown or party dress, wouldn't you say? I saw this mind-blowingly stunning Dior twisted multi-row necklaces with clusters of pearl beads, and embellised with satin finish metal, oval metal links, and grosgrain ribbon at the brand's boutique in Dubai. I was instantly hooked. The details of the design gave classic pearl necklaces a younger and modern feel. I can just imagine pairing it with cocktail dresses or even caftans for Ramadan. Such a beauty! I checked if it's available in Kuwait, unfortunately it's not. BUT I'm hoping with the opening of Dior's BIGGEST boutique in the Middle East at Grand Avenue in Kuwait, which is sometime by the end of this month, we'll get to have easier access to such beautiful statement accessories.

S.H.O.E.S
Dubai is one awesome place, I don't think I could ever get bored there. Yes I was in Dubai (AGAIN!) last weekend. And my stay wouldn't be complete without a shopping trip to the mother of all shoe stores in this region, aka LEVEL. The shoes selection is just unbelievable! Shopping there is always an overwhelming experience. I won't dwell on how fabulous the store is because that's been already established several times here on my blog. So let's get straight to the point: my favorite picks, starting with these fabulous Alaïa circle-detail suede sandals.
Reed Krakoff mesh heels
Exclusive to Level? Wow! Impressive!
Jason Wu sandals with cute pearl details... looks so Chanel-ish
I know this sounds very crazy (very very crazy!) but how cool are these Maison Martin Margiela hair/something covered heels?!! I wouldn't dare to wear them.. or maybe with denim cropped pants? They're so quirky cool!
