Artisans du Liban et d'Orient

A trip to Lebanon wouldn't be complete without a trip to one of my favorite shopping spots in Beirut, Artisans du Liban et d'Orient. I first found out about it almost 13 years ago thanks to lovely my sister-in-law. It's a place where you can find authentic, artisanal clothes, jewellery (beaten silver and gold cuffs), home accessories and furniture, and artifacts. Bear in mind though, the selection is not as big as Orient 499, nor the display is as pretty as Orient 499, but still there is something magical and captivating about this whitewashed showroom. Located at Ain Mreisseh, the place is tucked away behind an unmarked passage on the Corniche seafront, which gives it a sense of privacy. I've heard mixed rumors about this place, like it will shut down, hence the major clearance in-store and the short opening hours, and some said the owners are not as into the business as they used. I don't really what's going to happen to Artisans du Liban et d'Orient, all I know is that I don't want it to go out of business. Scroll down for more of my favorite items that were in-store.
